PLOT
A 17-year-old celestial wizard named Lucy Heartfilia runs away from home to join Fairy Tail, a rambunctious wizards' guild whose members are infamous for their overly destructive antics. Along the way, she meets Natsu Dragneel, a boy who is traveling the land of Fiore together with his partner Happy, a talking cat, in search of his foster parent, a dragon named Igneel who had disappeared without a trace seven years prior. Shortly after their meeting, Lucy is abducted by a wizard claiming to be the famous Salamander of Fairy Tail. Natsu rescues Lucy and reveals himself to be the real Salamander and a Dragon Slayer, a wizard with the abilities of a dragon. Natsu offers membership to Fairy Tail for Lucy, which she accepts.
Lucy forms a team together with Natsu and Happy, as well as Gray Fullbuster, an ice wizard with a habit of stripping, and Erza Scarlet, an armored female wizard. The five go on missions for their guild together and battle a wide variety of villains, which include: multiple dark (illegal) guilds led by an organization called Balam Alliance; demons created by an ancient, evil wizard named Zeref; Phantom Lord, a rival guild to Fairy Tail; Erza's former childhood friend Jellal Fernandes; and Laxus Dreyar, the renegade grandson of Fairy Tail's master, Makarov. The Fairy Tail guild also sees the inclusion of two other Dragon Slayers—Gajeel Redfox from the Phantom Lord guild and Wendy Marvell from the Cait Shelter guild—who were both raised by dragons (Metalicana and Grandine, respectively) that disappeared on the same day as igneel
Later on in the series, several members of Fairy Tail, including Natsu, Lucy, and their friends, gather for an annually held examination on their guild's sacred ground of Tenrou Island, where they discover that Zeref has been living on the island and is being sought out by one of the guilds of the Balam Alliance, Grimoire Heart. Though Fairy Tail defeats Grimoire Heart, the incident summons the black dragon Acnologia, which attacks the island. However, everyone on the island is protected by the spirit of Fairy Tail's founding master, Mavis Vermilion, and reappears seven years later. Upon returning home, they discover that their guild has become the weakest in Fiore, Zeref is on the loose, and the world's magical power has increased drastically.
Fairytail list characters
1.Natsu Dragneel (seiyuu: tetsuya kakihara / todd haberkorn )
Natsu Dragneel (ナツ・ドラグニル Natsu Doraguniru), also known by the nickname "Salamander" (火竜(サラマンダー) Saramandā), is the main male protagonist of Fairy Tail. Aside from performing missions for his guild, Natsu travels with his partner Happy in search of Igneel, a dragon who raised Natsu in his youth before disappearing seven years prior to the start of the series.[10] He is a Dragon Slayer (滅竜魔導士(ドラゴンスレイヤー) Doragon Sureiyā), a wizard who can perform an ancient form of magic, or "Lost Magic", that grants him the physical properties of a dragon. He specializes in a particular form of this magic called Fire Dragon Slayer magic (火の滅竜魔法 Ka no Metsuryū mahō), which gives him powers such as breathing fire, emitting flames from any part of his body to attack his opponent, being physically immune to fire, and ingesting any flame besides his own for nourishment.[7][11] When he consumes magical substances containing numerous elemental properties besides fire, such as lacrima infused with Etherion, Natsu is able to achieve a more powerful form of Dragon Slayer magic called "Dragon Force" (ドラゴンフォース Doragon Fōsu), which turns his skin around his eyes and on his forearms scaly, and increases both his physical and magical power.[12] Eating any other form of magic temporarily grants Natsu the ability to combine the properties of that magic with his own (such as eating Laxus's lightning magic, which electrifies his body). However, eating any magic besides fire causes Natsu to become sick for several days after the effects of his transformation wear off.
Natsu is generally carefree and reckless in nature, and causes most of the collateral damage Fairy Tail is blamed for. However, he is extremely loyal to his guildmates and attacks anyone who tries to harm or insult them. Although he comes across as thick-headed to several other characters, he is a perceptive tactician in battle and can quickly deduce his opponents' strengths and weaknesses. He suffers from motion sickness when riding on vehicles of any sort (trains, carriages, boats, etc.), as well as when carried by others. The only exception to this rule is Happy, who Natsu claims is his friend and not a "moving object". He is prone to challenging his guild's S-Class wizards to petty fights to test his strength, in which he is often defeated with little effort from his opponents. When properly motivated to fight (e.g. saving the lives of his friends) he is recognized as one of the most powerful wizards in the guild. He is voiced by Tetsuya Kakihara in Japanese and Todd Haberkorn in English. In Animedia magazine's 2010 character awards, Natsu ranked #4 for the most "Hot" anime character and #5 for the most cheerful character.

Lucy Heartfilia (ルーシィ・ハートフィリア Rūshi Hātofiria) is the main female protagonist of Fairy Tail, who joins the Fairy Tail guild at the beginning of the series. She is also the viewpoint character of the series, which is narrated from her perspective. Her given name was inspired by The Beatles song "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds".She is a 17-year-old celestial wizard who specializes in summoning contracted celestial spirits from another realm using a set of keys called Gatekeys. Despite being an "owner" of her spirits, Lucy treats them like her friends. She also carries a whip as her personal weapon, which she wields on occasion to fight alongside her spirits. Among the spirits she is contracted with, she currently possesses ten of the twelve keys that can open theTwelve Gates of the Zodiac. Lucy comes from one of the wealthiest families in Fiore. Before the beginning of the series, she runs away from home with the intent of joining Fairy Tail due to the death of her mother Layla and her strained relationship with her father Jude. She is invited into Fairy Tail by Natsu and Happy at the start of the series, and forms a team with them shortly after to perform jobs and earn money to pay for her rented house in Magnolia. During the series, Lucy cuts ties with her father when he commissions Phantom Lord to kidnap her and return her home,[19] but makes peace with him later on after he loses his fortune.[As one of the saner members of the guild, Lucy regularly gawks at the odd habits of her guildmates, which include running gags such as characters (often Natsu and Happy) suddenly appearing in her house without her knowing beforehand. She is voiced by Aya Hirano in Japanese and Cherami leighin English.

Gray Fullbuster (グレイ・フルバスター Gurei Furubasutā) is one of the main male protagonists. He is an 18-year-old wizard who uses a form of magic called Ice Make (氷の造形魔法(アイスメイク)Aisu Meiku), which allows him to instantaneously create ice and mold it into various kinds of weapons, shields, and other inanimate objects. Before the beginning of the series, he learns this magic from the wizard Ur, who takes him in as an orphan after his hometown is destroyed by the demon Deliora. Gray originally intends to take revenge against Deliora, but moves on to join Fairy Tail after Ur sacrifices herself to defeat Deliora instead. While normally calm and collected, Gray has a fierce rivalry with Natsu due to their opposing magic types, which constantly leads the two to bicker and insult each other. He is also rivals with Lyon Vastia, his fellow pupil under Ur, who blames Gray for her "death". Gray holds a great deal of respect for Ur even after her sacrifice, and becomes angry with anyone who insults her. He has a habit of stripping down to his underwear, often without realizing it, which he developed as a result of his training to withstand the freezing temperatures of Ur's hometown. He is voiced by Yuichi Nakamura in Japanese and Newton Pittman in English.
4.Erza Scarlet (seiyuu:sayaka ohara / colleen clinkbeard )
Erza Scarlet (エルザ・スカーレット Eruza Sukāretto), also known by the nickname "Fairy Queen, Titania" (妖精女王(ティターニア) Titānia), is one of the main female protagonists. She is a 19-year-old S-Class wizard, a high-ranked wizard who is usually tasked with performing extremely dangerous missions, and the most powerful female member of the guild. Her name was derived from Eru, a character from the one-shot manga created by Hiro Mashima that served as a pilot for Fairy Tail.[18] She specializes in a form of magic called "the Knight" (騎士(ザ・ナイト) Za Naito), which allows her to immediately summon and equip different swords, armor, and clothing from hammerspace at will using a magic ability called "requipping". She also has an artificial right eye, which replaces the one she loses as a child while forced to build the Tower of Heaven before the beginning of the series, granting her immunity from illusions and other magical effects that occur through eye contact. Erza acts as Fairy Tail's disciplinarian and does not hesitate to punish anyone who disregards the rules of her guild. In the beginning of the series, Erza is feared by her fellow guildmates but she becomes friendlier with them as the series progresses. She is a childhood friend of Jellal Fernandes, another child slave from the Tower of Heaven, who betrays her after being brainwashed into becoming a servant of Zeref before the beginning of the series. Despite Jellal's betrayal, Erza has feelings for him, and eventually forgives him after he develops amnesia and regrets his actions. She is voiced bySayaka Ohara in Japanese and Colleen Clinkenbeard in English. Erza was ranked #3 for sexiest anime character in Animedia magazine's 2010 character awards.

Happy (ハッピー Happī) is a 6-year-old talking cat with blue fur who serves as Natsu's best friend and initial partner before Lucy's inclusion in the Fairy Tail guild. Hiro Mashima originally planned to name him "Freyr" after the Norse god, but found the name did not fit his character.[18] He possesses a magical ability called Aera (翼(エーラ) Ēra), which allows him to temporarily grow white feathered wings on his back and fly. He is only able to carry up to one person at a time in this form. He is found as an egg six years before the beginning of the series by Natsu, who cares for him together with Lisanna until he hatches.[22] He is generally cheerful as per his name, and often utters phrases such as "Aye!" or "Aye, sir!". He has a crush on Carla, who initially despises him. Eventually, Happy discovers he is an exceed originally sent from Edolas to Earthland as an egg for his own protection after the exceeds' queen, Chagot, has a premonition of their realm's destruction. While in Edolas, Happy encounters an exceed farmer named Lucky (ラッキー Rakkī) and his wife Merl (マール Māru) who, unbeknownst to Happy, are his parents.[23] He is voiced by Rie Kugimiya in Japanese and Tia Ballard in English.
